Setting up of Creative Learning Lab for Children with Specific Learning Disabilities
Bank has supported a school for children with Specific Learning Disabilities in Salem to provide access to state-of-the-art equipment and software to the students, so that they can learn to express themselves visually through various mediums, including 2D and 3D animation, digital painting, and graphic design. This will foster a creative learning space to master animation and digital art skills.
Promoting E-Library at Government. ADW Girls Hostel
To promote E-Library in Government Adi Dravidar Welfare (ADW) Girls Hostels, the Bank has supported in setting up 30 units of E-library to transform the lives of girl students who are preparing for academic as well as competitive exams. Girl students will be able to access and use the services of E-Library through online books, with facility to download books, and listen to video & audio books
Provision of Desks and Benches in Government Schools in Coimbatore
To ensure that the students from Government Schools pursue their education in a more congenial atmosphere, Bank has supported Coimbatore Corporation Schools with 120 Desks and Benches.
Provision of Deskit Bags to Rural School Children
150 Children from the under privileged section who attend the after-school learning program in Coimbatore were benefitted by Deskit School Bags, a school bag with an attached desk.
Provision of infrastructural facilities at Mother Teresa Women's University, Kodaikanal
In order to facilitate the hostel students of Mother Teresa Women's University, Kodaikanal and to reduce the dependency on conventional energy sources, Bank has supported the University with roof-top based Solar Water Heating System. This ensures energy saving, pollution free, safe and sustainability of the environment.

Skill Development
Skilling of 400 Youths for enhancing their employability skills for a gainful employment across 3 States (Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, & Karnataka
The Bank is supporting 400 deserving youths who are unemployed or underemployed in the rural areas. This short term employment linked skill development training will enhance the employability opportunities of the youth. 100% placement offers will be ensured for all the trainees and they will continue to get counselling support for a period of one year from the date of course completion.
Skill Training Program for Youths on General Duty Assistant- Geriatric Care
Two batches of skill training program for rural youths on General Duty Assistant focusing Geriatric Care was launched at Tindivanam & Cuddalore.
Self-employment Skill Training program to Women
The Bank has supported 150 rural women in Khammam on Skill Training program in Tailoring, provision of tailoring machines and setting up of demo unit for training on tailoring in Khammam. This will create employment opportunities for underprivileged / low income / unemployed women members from rural areas.
Environmental Sustainability
Multi Utility Community Forest project
In association with Tamilnadu Agricultural University and Government of Tamilnadu, Bank has established Multiutility Community Forest in Idayakottai, Dindigul. This project is aimed to develop a multi-utility ultra hi-density community forest-based ecosystem for ecological balance and to create awareness among the public to safeguard the biodiversity and impart ecosystem-based education. The Forest spread over an area of 117 acres and envisages community forest of 6 Lakh trees, thematic forest, forest interpretation centre and a high-tech nursery.
Promotion of Solar Powered Water Pumping facility to Village Panchayats
To promote green power solutions for water pumping in three village panchayats, Bank has provisioned Grid-tied solar photovoltaic power plant in three village panchayats. This provides a cheaper, cleaner and alternative energy source for the village panchayat to meet the power needs to supply uninterrupted water supply to the households and save the cost of electricity which could be used for various developmental activities by the village panchayat.
Rejuvenation of Water Harvesting Structure
The Bank supported the rejuvenation of the traditional Water Harvesting Structure in Konerirajapuram near Kumbakonam to harvest and store rainwater. Renovating the structure has helped to recharge the ground water table and sustain the environment as well.
Promoting Green Cover through Mini-Forest at Village Panchayats
In order to increase the tree cover outside conventional forests for climate change adaptation and to restore natural and native trees, Bank has identified and executed tree plantation activity in two village panchayats in Karur.
Revival of Traditional Water Bodies in Rameswaram, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari
The Bank supported with the initiative of restoration of tank (restoration of water bodies) in Rameswaram to promote environmental sustainability.
Promoting Human-Elephant co-existence by preventing crop losses in Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve, Tamil Nadu
In association with WWF, the Bank has supported to (1) Determine elephant movement and its use of weak spots to access farmlands (2) Strengthen protective barrier measures around RF (3) Undertake various measures to improve community/ farmer confidence in barrier methods.

Provision of Robotic Arm Assisted Equipment for Orthopaedic Surgery
To extend quality medical services to a greater number of disadvantaged rural community members, the Bank has supported with Robotic arm assisted surgery unit to the Orthopaedics department of Vasavi Hospital, Bengaluru, a not-for profit multi-specialty hospital managed by Sree Vasavi Trust.
Provision of medical equipment to Government Medical College Hospital, Karur.
Bank has supported Government Medical College Hospital, Karur with high-tech medical equipment such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for Ophthalmology Department and 3 Surgical Diathermy equipment for OG Department to help diagonise and treat vision related diseases like Diabetic macular edema, Cystoid macular edema and to perform other lives saving surgeries.
Provision of Lab equipment to Sri Shirdi Sai Seva Trust Clinic and Lab, Guntur
Bank has supported Sri Shirdi Sai Seva Trust by providing medical equipment - Maglumi X3 Fully Auto Chemiluminescence System. It can detect and diagnose conditions such as Thyroid disorders, Kidney function, Bone metabolism, Anemia, Glyco metabolism.
Provision of battery-operated buggies in NIMS Hospital, Hyderabad.
Bank has supported Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital, Hyderabad with an E- vehicle for the usage of patients inside the Hospital Campus. This will ensure quality medical services to the poor people being mindful of carbon footprint.

Karur Texcity - KVB – CSI Free Medical Centre, Panchamadevi, Karur
arur Texcity Rotary Foundation and Rotary Club of Karur Texcity has been running a free dispensary at Panchamadevi, a rural location close to Karur since 2011 and our Bank has been supporting this initiative since its inception. The Bank supported towards the monthly cost of Doctors, Nurses and Medicines of the Centre.

KVB has supported Burn Survivor Mission Saviour (BSMS) Trust, Hyderabad to help carry out reconstructive surgeries for post burn contracture / deformities to the affected people free of cost.
Provision of Digital X-Ray Machine to Cancer Institute, Adyar, Chennai
Cancer Institute, Adyar Chennai is a well-known organization in the country for treatment of cancer in different forms. The Bank had supported with Digital X-Ray Machine to Cancer Institute to scan a greater number of patients accessing the institute for treatment.

Two battery operated vehicles were provided to Gobichettipalayam Municipality, Erode towards collection of door-to-door wastages from households.
Provision of Sanitary Napkin Dispensers and incinerators in Government College, Coimbatore
To ensure Menstrual Health and Hygiene and to empower girl students, Bank supported the Coimbatore Government Arts College by providing five Napkin vending machines and five Napkin incinerators and also made available 36000 sanitary pads for the benefit of the College students.
Provision of Sanitation facilities to DIET (District Institute of Education and Training), Nalgonda
Over 200 students of DIET (District Institute of Education and Training) and more than 1000 student trainees of vocational courses were directly benefited from the CSR support of the Bank to provide separate toilet blocks for boys and girls.

Renovation of Community Infrastructures in Poonampalayam Panchayat, Tiruchurapalli
The Bank has adopted Poonampalayam Village Panchayat to renovate 7 of the community structures in the panchayat and to bring them to a holistic condition and provide the villages safe and well-maintained spaces for meaningful outcomes in all development programmes anganwadis, schools, and health centres.
Project ASPIRE, Virudhunagar
Advancing Sustainable Panchayat Villages through Integrated Rural Ecosystem (ASPIRE) project and various activities was launched by the District Collector, Virudhunagar. The Project will bring resilience among rural communities in 3 Village Panchayats (namely, Sandhiyur, Kottaipatti, Sekkapatti) in the Batlagundu block of Dindigul and 3 village Panchayats (namely, Aladiapatti, Kulasekaranallur, Vedanatham) in the Thiruchuzi block of Virudhunagar.
Reducing Inequalities
Construction of Integrated Rehabilitation Centre, Erode
The Bank supports the construction of a Rehabilitation Home for Old Age People. This facility with holistic approach will transform the lives of beggars, homeless, dying destitute, elderly, mentally retarded and differently abled in rural and urban areas in Tamil Nadu.

Setting up of Physical Library in Government Tribal Residential Schools & ITIs at different locations
Bank has supported in setting up 15 Library facilities at Government Tribal Welfare Residential Schools in Tamil Nadu. Access to Physical Library will strengthen the human capital, upkeep mental wellbeing, social inclusivity and serve as social hubs that bring communities together.

Promoting Education
Vocational Training to Young Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities & Education to Children with Intellectual and Developmental Disability
Bank provided support to integrate persons with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities with the mainstream community by providing an array of services duly supported with appropriate infrastructure and qualified personnel in association with Maithree an organization endeavouring to provide a secure future for persons with special needs.
My Dream School - Modern Education Project in 15 Rural Government Schools in Coimbatore.
"My Dream School" project is to develop students holistically. This Modern education project was implemented by the Bank along with Aram Foundation in 15 rural schools which benefitted 6000+ students with underprivileged background and 100+ teachers and parents. The holistic approach of the project was child-centric and resulted in improvement of students in all aspects of their life. This project addressed the knowledge gap created during the pandemic which had impacted the students in education and social development.
Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign - Celebrating 75 Years of Indian Independence
"Har Ghar Tiranga", a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was aimed to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag to the general public. National flags were provided free of cost to encourage citizens to hoist the National Flag of India in their homes to mark 75th Independence Day, and to pay tributes to freedom fighters.
Construction of 4 Class Room Block in Government High School, Somur, Karur
Bank has provided infrastructure support to Government High School, Somur, Karur for constructing 4 classrooms which helps Government School students to access quality education. This will benefit 164 students directly this year and several hundreds of students in successive years.
Support to Tribal Community School Students, Anaikatti Hills, Coimbatore
The project, in association with Tinkle Seva, comprised of multiple support by way of provision of safe drinking water, evening study centres, provision of nutritious snacks and furniture to School Students from the Tribal Community in Anaikatti.

The Bank supported Mother Special School with 46 intellectually challenged children Thanthonimalai, Karur with provision of a stainless steel ramp fitted with hand rail and equipping the terrace of the school with JSW sheets for providing occupational therapy.

The Bank provided uniforms, mats & pillows for the 150 Sevalayam poor girl students of Sri Sarada Sevalayam, Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Trust, Ulundurpet. Sri Sarada Sevalayam runs a free home from weaker socio-economic background of nearby rural areas.

The Bank provided desks and benches for students and chairs/cupboards for Teachers at 3 Government Schools in Karur namely Government (A.D.W) Middle School, Thirukkampuliyur, Karur Government (A.D.W) Middle School, Melapalayam, Karur and Municipal Kumaran High School, Karur.
Empowering the Under Privileged through Education, Thiruponathar Educational Trust, Sivagangai
The Bank supported to scale up the activities of the Thiruponathar Educational Trust, of providing the last mile connectivity to the downtrodden youth from the rural areas to get jobs via career guidance, Mentoring, Scholarships, stipend, closing the gap in job oriented skills, IT and Soft skills etc.

To develop resilient women entrepreneurs out of women from underprivileged, low income / unemployed sections from rural areas, Bank supported by imparting skill development training to 410 rural women in tailoring, thread craft embroidery, aari, door mat weaving through various NGOs.

Environmental Sustainability
Provision of Battery Powered Buggies and Ro Water Plants
To transform Tirumala into a green town, the Bank provided 10 battery/electric operated vehicles to TTD, Tirumala and Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupathi. This initiative will reduce the carbon footprints in the surrounding locations to a large extent.
Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) provides medical services to thousands of in-patients & OP cases on a daily basis and the numbers are increasing considerably. To meet the increasing demands of patients, the Bank provided the institute 03 RO purified drinking water plants and 09 Water Dispenser Units.
"Walk n Jog"
The Bank has taken up the Environment Project Maintenance – Walk n Jog. The Project involves makeover of the old Amaravathi bridge (Karur) into a walkers' track. The Bank is also maintaining the facility (walk way, play area, Miyawaki garden, fountain) which will be for a period of 20 years.

The Bank supported with the application development of Solid Waste Management Programme of the Tirunelveli Municipal Corporation for activities such as Cloud based attendance/Payroll generation for Sanitary workers; Monitoring of micro-composting centres; Route charts; Educative videos to the public for awareness campaigns etc.

The Bank supported with construction of Toilet blocks/Urinal at Government Schools namely – Government Girls Higher Sec School, Velliyanai Village; Government Higher Sec School, Old Jeyankondam Village, Karur & Government Higher Sec School, Porani Village, Karur; Virallimalai – Pudhukottai & Mettur, Salem to promote Sanitation and help access quality education with implication of health issues.

Water on Wheels - Promoting easy Mobility and Storage of Drinking Water for Rural People, Karur
The Bank supported with 112 numbers of water barrels to the households of the interior villages in Karur.
Installation of RO water plant at KVB Walk N Jog
The Bank supported with Installation of 2000 LPH water treatment unit with RO in the premises of Walk 'N' Jog, Karur – an initiative by the Bank to promote exercise and recreation. An average of 250-400 walkers and visitors (per day) (children along with parents and youth) come during weekdays and on weekends the numbers of visitors increase to more than 900.

The Bank supported with access to Safe and Quality Drinking Water to the 675 Rural School Students of Kodumballur Govt. Higher Sec School, Iluppur, Pudukottai and 500 Rural Students of Pudurpalayam Govt. Higher Sec School, Lalgudi, Trichy.
Promoting Health Care
Limbs on Wheels - Providing Prosthetic Limbs and Care
KVB supported 200 beneficiaries across various rural villages in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh under the "LIMBS ON WHEELS" project of Inali Foundation. Prosthetic limbs were provided to the physically challenged which would help them to perform basic actions like lifting items, eating, etc.
Medical Treatment of Children with Cancer in Different Government Hospitals in Tamil Nadu
The project KVB – AROH GIVING HOPE provides support in crucial areas of Diagnostic and Treatment to children afflicted by cancer. The project ensures that no child leaves the hospital in the middle of treatment for lack of money. Initially a total 44 numbers of children have been identified to avail the benefits from various hospitals such as Institute of Child Health, Chennai, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital Medical College free ward, Coimbatore.
Support Towards Construction of an Integrated Facility for Palliative and Geriatric Care Services
The Bank supported Sneha Sandhiya Age Care Foundation, Visakhapatnam to meet the ever-increasing need for Palliative and Geriatric care services. The Organization is establishing an integrated facility to deliver services to the patients with serious health-related issues. Bank has supported this initiative by funding a part of the project i.e., Construction of a block and medical equipment.

Bank has donated an Ambulance with first-aid equipment and wheelchairs to Srikalahastheeswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam, Srikalahasthi to respond any medical emergencies to sick or injured people and to get them to hospital.
Treatment of Cancer Patients, Namakkal
The Bank supported Thangam Charitable Trust, Namakkal under CSR to treat patients from economically weaker sections of society affected with cancer who cannot afford treatment.

The Bank supported Ganga Spine Injury Foundation, Coimbatore is to treat patients with deformities of spine & limb and injuries.
Ganga Plastic Reconstructive and Microsurgery Trust, Coimbatore
'Changing Lives through Reconstructive Surgery', is a joint initiative of KVB and the Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgery Department of Ganga Hospital. It offers monetary assistance to people from economically weaker sections who need reconstructive surgery for the management of defects present at birth or acquired due to accidents, infection or cancer.
Burn Survior Mission Saviour Trust, Hyderabad
Burn Survivor Mission Saviour (BSMS) Trust is working with plastic surgeons to carry out reconstructive surgeries for post burn contracture / deformities to the affected people at free of cost. Post-surgery, BSMS trust is supporting them to regain normal life. The Bank is supporting this initiative.

Bank has provided five imported medical equipment to Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute and Government General Hospital, Pondicherry. This equipment can diagnose various diseases including cancer, urinary tract infection, detection of inflammation of blood vessels and certain autoimmune diseases.

Karur Texcity Rotary Foundation and Rotary Club of Karur Texcity has been running a free dispensary at Panchamadevi, a rural location close to Karur since 2011 and our Bank has been supporting this initiative for salaries and cost of medicines since its inception over a decade ago.

Green & Climate Resilient Village in Manavadi Village Panchayat, Karur
The Bank is supporting promotion of green cover and develop a model village in association with Hand in Hand, India and has adopted Manavadi Village Panchayat, Karur. The project takes a holistic approach which integrates the multiple components such as promoting green cover and plantation, effective use of solar power facilities & strengthening water structures and green skilling with a focus on promoting a green & climate resilient village.

Support to Empower Women by providing 50 Motorized Push Carts through AAVIN
The Bank has provided 33 battery operated pushcarts to women from underprivileged sections to market the ice cream and other dairy products of Aavin.

Financial Literacy & Cyber Security Awareness Program, Tamil Nadu
In line with Reserve Bank of India's emphasis on propagating financial literacy and cyber security measures, the Bank organized Financial Literacy Awareness campaign by way of street corner plays in 580 locations reaching out to 37000+ rural adult population across Tamil Nadu. The contents of the plays sought to make the public understand basic financial concepts and gain knowledge required to make effective financial planning and avoid making poor financial decisions that can have serious impact on the financial well-being.

Empowering Women Dairy Farmers for Prospering Their Livelihoods
To enhance the livelihood of Women Dairy Farmers and to build up a community based economic enterprise in Kadavur block of Karur district, Bank has engaged with COODU Trust to educate and train 500 small and marginal women dairy farmers on the scientific rearing of dairy animals and effective marketing strategies. The project will help the women farmers to scale up their livelihood and obtain benefits from convergence of activities through various Government programs.

Support to Weightlifting Sportsperson
To promote sports and inspire the youth and redefine the people's view to take up Olympic sports, Bank supports Weightlifter L. Dhanush, son of a carpenter hailing from Tiruvallur, who holds the national record in Snatch and Clean & Jerk in 49kg category. The Bank provides support for holistic development of the sportsperson such as Equipment for training, Food, Nutrition, Physical check-up and an honorarium to his coach.

Donation of 10 ambulances to TN Health Systems Project
Karur Vysya Bank has donated 10 ambulances to Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project to fight COVID pandemic. The ambulances were flagged off by Thiru M.K. Stalin, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The ambulances will be deployed for COVID relief activities across the state, 2 for use in the plains and 8 for use in hilly regions. This contribution is being implemented by the bank under its CSR initiatives at a budget of Rs. 1. 77 crore.

Karur Vysya Bank donated medical equipment costing Rs. 50.50 lakhs to Sankara Eye Foundation, Coimbatore for their hospitals in Coimbatore and Krishnankoil for providing treatment to patients from economically weaker sections of society as part of its CSR initiatives in preventive healthcare.
